Suddenly, I didn't care anymore

There are only two kinds of people in social networking, scumbags and narcissists.

Lately, I feel as though I fall into the category of a narcissist. I've been sucked into this virtual world that is making me develop narcissistic traits. I should have realized that when opening an account with a network that is called "MYspace," narcissism would soon take place.

The results of exposing my personal life on this sinister connection, is an open opportunity for the other category of a scumbag to lurk and "google" me at any time. Bam! At the click of a button they can contact me. I should protect myself and get off this radar.

That's where the conflict arises and creates this war with my inner self. Should I let one have such easy access to my life? Any sane person would simply answer, no, and close their doors for good. However, I have become so dependent on networking, it’s become a drug to me.

Myspace is the gateway drug of the social networks. "Sure, why not? Everyone is doing it. Be cool, give it a try." One will start off with myspace, then that leads to facebook. Then, god for bid, twitter.

Like any drug, I gave twitter a try. There wasn't enough junkies to follow my swagger. Being a narcissist, that just didn't give me the social high that I was looking for.

Equal to the twelve-step program, I thought by giving up one, I could continue the steps and give up my other addictions of networking.

In the manner of any addict, they would say, Fuck it. Instead of quitting, withdrawing, and relapsing, I'm going to keep up my networking addictions and start a blog.

I will be one more narcissist to entertain the scumbags in this world.
